Disney has decided that they will push the close of the park up an hour from 6pm instead of 7pm for non-party guests of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Non-party guests may still enjoy the shops and restaurants from 6-7pm, but will not be able to ride attractions during that time. Ticket holders for the party may still enter Magic Kingdom at 4pm the day of the party.
The change was likely made to help Disney employees deal with the crowd switch from a regular park day to a special event. Christmas time can be very busy at the parks and we are sure this is really due to just managing crowd size at Disney. Anyone would hate to buy a ticket and then to either be denied access or the park be too crowded on an evening.
Here are the dates for this years Christmas Party:
November 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 17, 26 and 28
December 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21 and 22
You can purchase tickets here. All party dates still have tickets available.
There will be no time changes for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
