Throwback Thursday: Pleasure Island Drinks Make a Comeback

June 29, 2017 by Robert Morgan Leave a Comment

Disney is always looking on how they can please their hardcore fans that love nostalgia; I am one of those fans. The latest Disney throwback is bringing back Pleasure Island drinks to Dockside Margaritas at Disney Springs only on Thursdays through September 28. They will be offering four flavors each Thursday with a wide variety of drinks they will be offering throughout the summer months.

In addition to the Kungaloosh, you’ll also be able to reminisce over the Bell Bottom, Techn-O, and Thriller from 8-Trax, Hoopla from Mannequins, Armadillo Punch from Neon Armadillo, Shark Bite from Rock ‘n Roll Beach Club, Punch Line from Comedy Warehouse, and Pleasure Punch and Funmeister (which were available throughout Pleasure Island). Some of the drinks will rotate on a weekly basis, but the Kungaloosh will be available every week. (WDWNewsToday)

The drinks will cost $9 for alcoholic and $5 for non-alcoholic. The four drinks offered today, June 29, are the Kungaloosh, Bell Bottom, Pleasure Punch, and Emil’s Strawberry Colada which is non-alcoholic. Hope you can enjoy one!

Disney Adds Two More Spots to Mobile Ordering

June 26, 2017 by Robert Morgan Leave a Comment

Disney World will be adding two more locations to their mobile ordering for quick service locations. Animal Kingdom will get their fourth mobile ordering option at Restaurantosaurus on June 27 and at Disney Springs D-Luxe Burger will go live soon on July 5. Disney continues the expansion of using their mobile app, My Disney Experience, to allow customers the option to pre-plan their meals, pay in advance, and wait less in lines.

Instead of waiting in line, you can save time by ordering from wherever you are—imagine the convenience of reviewing the menu and making your selections while you’re waiting for an attraction.

When you arrive at the restaurant, open the app, tap on the image of your character and press the “I’m Here, Prepare My Order” button. This lets us know you’re here, so we can start your order.

When your food is ready to enjoy, you will receive a notification from the app and you’ll pick up your meal at the area with the “Mobile Order Pick Up” sign. – DisneyWorld.com

The app has been adding more mobile ordering options throughout the Disney World parks. We assume that it should be coming to more resorts quick service soon.  This would allow resorts to offer more space to eat as well as guests a more enjoyable experience by waiting less in line on vacation.
